However, the clever leader of the robbers sprung a trap on the Girl of Steel, exposing her to a potent sleeping gas. Strong enough to daze even Supergirl, our heroine, soon found herself trapped inside a freight car with a hefty dose of the soporific vapors. Supergirl lay in a semi-conscious state in such heavy concentrations, weakened and trapped! We now return to the Maiden of Might in her perilous condition. The rattling of the train as it ran over the tracks helped keep Supergirl awake, but what felt like just barely. As she laid back against the wall, Kara's chest rose with distressed breaths, her body feeling so sluggish and sleepy. She sighed as she tried to move her tights-clad legs, her red boots brushing the floor, but they lacked any strength to move or support
